Breath is a constant within the human body and is one of the most effective tools to calm the activities of the mind, helping you become centered and present. Understanding and utilizing this tool can help recondition the mind to bring awareness to your breath more seamlessly at every moment of the day. My workshops and teachings across the spectrum of yoga offerings incorporate this fundamental premise, helping you incorporate it into your daily life and practices.

“Almost two years ago I experienced a pain in my neck, left shoulder and arm like I had never experienced before. Multiple trips to PT and urgent care couldn't fix it. From our very first meeting, I have been so incredibly amazed and grateful for Ashok's equanimity and patience. He has a very reassuring presence and listened to me for about 15 minutes. Initially he did an assessment asking me to do a couple of gentle "reaching" stretches against the wall. He realized that I was in no state to do any stretches and created a plan that was focused on breathing only. At first I was unsure, but I decided to go forward with this, after all, what option did I have? I have never been so amazed in my life that breathing techniques could bring such immediate relief. The pain did not go away immediately, but it subsided and with daily practice it got better and eventually went away. I'm happy to report that for the past two months I've been doing a daily 10 minute yoga routine first thing in the morning. It has made a world of difference. 

To state that Ashok has had an impact on my life is an extreme understatement. When I look back at where I was two years ago and where I am now, I am literally leading a different life. And the best part, we're just getting started.
